Le voyage!

Hi!
We arrived in France yesterday morning to beautiful sunny skies and the weather is still warm and sunny today. We're lucky because they had been having lots of rain like we had back in Bath.
Our journey was exhausting. After saying our last goodbyes to some very very dear friends on Friday (you know who you are!) I cried! I also cried as we drove away from home, I will miss everyone and our home so much.
We had an easy drive down to Plymouth, Charlie text me and arranged for her and Mike to wave at us on our way past the end of their street. Sadly we missed them by about 2 mins! We were late for the boat so couldn't go back :-(. Thanks for the thought though Charlie!
We got on the boat at 10pm and to our cabin to find that there was no travel cot booked for Max and we haven't brought one with us. So Francois went off to ask for one, Laila was now wide awake and getting over excited. I was feeding Max so he was ready to go back to sleep. The cot took an hour to come so at 11pm on a very rocky boat we were trying to settle a baby and an over excited toddler! This took about half an hour, then after about 10 mins of sleep Laila started screaming which woke Max so he started screaming. I fumbled my way over to Laila's bed to find that she had fallen between her bunk and the travel cot, she was stuck and quite scared!! Bless her! So then she didn't want to sleep in her bed and insisted on coming into my bunk bed, we slept like that (poking and prodding each other) until 4.30am when Brittany Ferries started playing the very loud music intermittently to wake all the passengers up! The boat was docking at 6am (UK time). Laila and Max would have easily slept longer if we could have shut the music up!
So a very tired and grumpy Couny family docked into Roscoff. We had a nice coastal drive to Lannion which only took an hour and headed for a McDonalds breakfast only to find they didn't open till 9am! We managed to keep ourselves entertained in the local supermarket till then! Laila and I had yummy pancakes and Francois had a bacon and egg mcmuffin and a very strong coffee!
