The ups and downs...

It's been an interesting couple of weeks, a new routine for us all. Laila starting a new school and me starting a new job. There have been a few highs and lows:

High: Laila loves her new school
Low: She's scared to go sometimes because a little girl pulled her hair :-(

High: Laila didn't cry at all in her first week
Low: She cried every day in her second week because of the little girl and not wanting me to go :-(

High: Laila was excited to go back to gym class this week
Low: She cried for most of it because the mummies no longer stay for the class :-(

High: Laila can already say lots of things in Breton (counts to 5, knows some colours, greetings and songs!)
Low: nothing bad about that, just feel very proud!!!

High: Max enjoyed his new music class.
Low: I'm worried it's far too expensive for what we get out of it...will see.

High: I'm enjoying work, teaching IS rewarding and the students are motivated and friendly!
Low: It's mentally exhausting, listening to non-native English speakers all day who are at different levels of ability.

High: I love feeling like a real person again, an independent working woman, not just someone's mummy.
Low: I hate leaving 2 crying children at their childcare each morning and think about them all day long!

High: Zumba has made it to France! I love going to the class and finally getting some good, fun exercise.
Low: It's at 9.30pm on a work night, so doesn't help with the fatigue!

There unfortunately is always highs with the lows! Glad that work is going well and Laila is enjoying her new school. I guess the second week is always harder when the excitement of the first has died down.

Oh and happy 18 months Max!!! Blue eyes and curly blonde hair the boy is going to be a real lady killer!!
