Settling In...

Well we've been so busy I really haven't had chance to update my blog since the furniture arrived!
Everything went well with the moving in, mum and dad were a great help, mum took over the kitchen and dad the garden and any drilling or rewiring that needed doing! You wouldn't believe how complicated it can be having some appliances with french plugs, some with english, and then trying to work out whether to change the plug, use an adaptor or use a french or english gang socket! We managed to get everything plugged in and working that we needed to and then since Francois' arrival he's been redoing everything we did!

So the big arrival was on Saturday, we said goodbye to Grandma and Grandad and I took Laila and Max to Brest airport to pick up Francois. It had been far too long for Laila without her Daddy, especially with all the change and disruption going on in her life.
The reunion between daddy and his daughter was heart melting: "Daddy I miss-ted you"!
Max and I were also happy to see daddy and it was lovely taking him back to the house and showing him where everything was.

We had a couple nights from hell with Laila over that weekend. A mixture of illness, tummy ache and emotions we think. She was almost hysterical during Sunday night not going to sleep properly until 3am! From Monday we got back into our usual routine, making sure we had lunch, tea, bath and bedtime at her usual times, giving her plenty of warning when bedtime was coming and we've had no problems at all this week. Full nights sleep all round!
