House Build: stage 1 complete and stage 2 complete!

A long overdue update on our house build, it's been so exciting to drive by almost everyday and see something new! They spent a couple weeks in the rain building the walls, they've recently completed the gable ends and have installed the drainage pipes underground. The wood has been delivered for the roof, but the carpenters can only come in a weeks time. This is OK, we had a call to warn us that nothing will be done next week, so at least we won't be disappointed when we drive by!
Lets hope the nice dry sunny weather continues for the roofers when they do come.
The nicest bit for me was that on Friday they filled in the trench that was surrounding the house and have put gravel down where the driveway and patio will be, so we can now safely walk around our house and it makes such a difference! I can't wait to be able to slide open the kitchen, dining room or living room doors and step out onto our sunny "terrasse"!!! I'm imagining a chilled rosé in my hand and a nice sunny summers day!

oh so exciting! It seems to be happening very quick to me! Will need to plan and come and join you for that glass of rose and the husbands can look after the kids!

How exciting. Brings back lots of memories for us. We built our house in Ireland, the beautiful new one we left for two hovels in France!
Hope it's not too long before you move in.
