So we're back, and we had a lovely lovely holiday. It certainly did me the world of good, felt like a real break from the daily toil at home! The kids had a whale of a time and Francois seems very relaxed and rested too. I really appreciated having him there all the time, I'm so lucky that he's a very hands-on dad!
The Siblu campsite Le Bois Masson was lovely. I've only ever been to Keycamp sites before in France, I would definitely recommend Siblu to anyone for the quality of the facilities and the extremely attentive, helpful, friendly and well trained staff.
The campsite itself is in the woods, with pine trees everywhere just 2.5km from the lovely beaches of St Jean de Monts, yet out of the hustle and bustle and nowhere near the long long strip of campsites on the other side of town. Nice and shady and very pretty, although you get all the pine needles falling onto the chairs and table outside, not so much fun when you're sunbathing!

Our mobile home looked brand new, we were convinced it hadn't been used before, that was until we found a sock that didn't belong to us under one of the beds!

There's a great park with slides, swings etc, this was less than 2 mins from our mobile home. The sister campsite Le Bois Dormant across the road also have 2 parks, including one brand new pirate themed one which were much appreciated.
As per most holiday places there are kids clubs. Now we're not the type of people to come on holiday and dump our kids with someone else (although ask me again when they're older!), but they have a Bubbles club for the 1-4 yr olds and the parents stay too. For a change one morning when it was too hot for the bikes or the beach we thought we would try it, Laila and Max had fun with a whole host of new toys and making pirate hats in the sun!
We also attended the evening entertainment for the first time ever, we went to "mini disco" and "pirate showtime"! Yes we know how to party! Laila and Max loved it though and that's what counts! We managed to have a drink in a bar which is always a bonus!
Look out for more posts from me this week; Part 2: The Cycle rides will be next...
